George L. Yeh, MD, originally from Colonial Heights, Virginia, joined Potomac Valley Orthopedic Associates in 2002. He obtained his medical degree from Yale University in 1995. Next he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. The final stop in the educational expedition was hand surgery fellowship training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City from 2001 to 2002. Dr. Yeh is board certified. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Yeh specializes in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery. He is interested in treating problems involving the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, including everything from carpal tunnel syndrome to tendonitis to arthritis to fractures to the pesky paper cut. Dr. Yeh especially enjoys knowing his patients on a personal level. And he takes great pleasure in helping his patients recover and return to their activities and hobbies, whether it requires the stamina of sports, or the nimble fingers of knitting, or even the tender touch of text messaging.
