Hand Therapy

Our certified hand therapist offers comprehensive knowledge of the upper extremity and a high degree of specialization in the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity injuries and disorders.

Our hand therapist provides skilled assessments and treatments to maximize your recovery and return to normal activities. Treatment programs and splints are custom-molded and modified by the therapist to meet your individual needs.

Meet our Therapist

Karen Karen Gallagher Gallagher,OTR/L, CHT has been a practicing Occupational Therapist for the last 20 years, and has specialized in the area of hand and upper extrmity for the last 14 years. Karen became a certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 1993.

Within Karen's field of hand and upper quadrant rehabilitation, she prides herself on her ability to adapt basic protocols to meet each patient's individual needs. This ability allows her to effectively treat more complex cases such as reflex sympathetic dystrophy, stiff wrist fractures, and multiple tendon/nerve injuries. Combined with a strong emphasis on ergonomics, these techniques give excellent results with very difficult injuries.
