Potomac Valley Orthopaedic Associates offers all patients the next generation of open MRI. Our state-of-the-art MRI is located in our Columbia office.

Our superior equipment minimizes the time of each study. Most studies take between 35 to 45 minutes. The image quality of our open MRI is equal to that of closed MRI's.

Accredited by the American College of Radiology, our MRI can provide valuable diagnostic information for many medical conditions. This newest technology enables us to perform studies of the:

Head
Abdominal

Hip and Pelvis
Chest
Foot and Ankle
Hand, Wrist and Elbow

After your appointment, your scan is transmitted to our consulting fellowship trained MRI radiologists who specialize in evaluating and interpreting your results. We strive to get this information to you and your physician within 24 hours. Upon request, a complimentary CD of your films will be provided. Film copies may be purchased.

Your insurance plan may cover Medically necessary MRI studies. Our staff will be happy to talk with your carrier to determine the level of coverage for the prescribed studies.
